The Search For a Quality Pillow.

Growing up, if you wanted to buy quality clothing, or housewares you went to Mervyn’s. I really didn’t give it much thought as a kid, or even a young adult. I needed something affordable and sometimes trendy, I went to Mervyn’s.
Since it’s closure a few years ago, the one big void I have noticed in my life, pillows. I don’t know where they had them made or what magical space age material they used, but their pillows lasted.
I have tried to find a pillow of equal stature at KOHL’s, Target, Costco, Bed, Bath & Beyond to no avail. It is almost like “The Story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. Too soft, too hard, this one lasts two weeks, this one last a month but is flat as a pancake.
Finally I have found an affordable, quality pillow in an unlikely place, Walmart. Keep in mind I have only had my pillow a week, yet I already notice a few differences from past pillows.
I bought a Simmons Beautyrest X Firm Pillow. I already have gotten a better quality sleep than I have in years. My neck doesn’t wake up sore, or have a headache. This pillow claims to be “Hotel Quality”. I have NEVER had a pillow this comfy at a hotel. It also has a 5 year warranty! For the $15.00 I paid I will be happy if it lasts a year.
It’s only been a week and I know, I am still smitten and the love affair is new, we’ll see how long this lasts, but I am hopefully optimistic.
